![]() They have this really stupid policy that you need a code to call customer service. I was really hoping that wasn't the case. I don't know if we should replace it necessarily, but I think I will call customer service. If you fail to open the router's web interface from another computer then there is something wrong with that router and you should replace it. I have been using Chrome, and tried Firefox and it was exactly the same.ĭo you have another computer that you can try accessing the router's web interface? you can also try adding 192.168.0.1 to the trusted sites list in internet explorer (options -> security tab -> trusted sites)Īs I previously stated, I am using the default gateway that IS 192.168.0.1. look for default gateway, the default gateway is the right URL (most likely 192.168.0.1 but you have to be sure) Just because you get a screen does not mean its the right URL - the screen may be a cached page. Every so often it would give me the logon screen again and when I typed in the username and password it would go right back to "updating". I logged in with the correct username and password (as it did not tell me "wrong password" which it did when I typed in random letters as a test) and then it said it was Updating and it would take several minutes: After doing this a few times it finally gave me the logon page. I tried reseting the router but it wouldn't give me the logon page. It works fine, except I cannot log into the settings. Sometimes it cuts out and needs a restart but only sometimes and usually no more than once or twice a month (unlike every few hours with the old one). Now we have a new Arris router and it works great. Enter the password. So TWC replaced my router because out previous Netgear was horrible and kept cutting out. ![]() Besides that, you have to remove the wireless profile.
